Nick Cohen is a Manager at Schmidt Futures. He supports external communications and program development for the Quad Fellowship, assists with long-term fellowship programming for the International Strategy Forum, and provides research assistance to Fareed Zakaria.

Prior to joining Schmidt Futures, Nick worked as an editor in the publishing industry and on Congressional and State Senate electoral campaigns, both in his native state of Minnesota. Nick serves as an advisor to the Cold War Archives Research Institute operated by the Wilson Center and is the lead editor of European Integration and Disintegration: Essays from the Next Generation of Europe’s Thinkers (Routledge, 2022).

Nick was a Schepp Scholar at Columbia University, where he earned a Master’s degree in European History, Politics, and Society, with a Service Distinction awarded from Columbia’s European Institute. He graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude from Carleton College with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations.
