Kareen Fares is an Analyst at Schmidt Futures where she supports Rise.

Kareen serves on the selection committee for the Institute of International Education’s Odyssey Scholarship program, which provides refugees with the opportunity to access a higher education. She interned at the Brookings Institution under the Global Economy and Development sector, where she did research on computer science education around the world. Kareen has also served as a Global Ambassador for Gurls Talk, a women’s mental health NGO.

Kareen holds a Master’s degree in International Educational Development, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics and Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
